Ontario Parks Association (OPA), established in 1936, is a registered charitable organization whose focus is on Protecting Tomorrow Today®. Through our work as advocates for our parks and open spaces and the training we provide to parks professionals in Ontario, we are helping to preserve our living green infrastructure assets for future generations. OPA is a proud member of the Green Infrastructure Ontario Coalition.
Victor Hergott Memorial Tree Planting Service On Thursday June 16th, at 4:30 pm at Seneca Park in Brantford Ontario, there will be a memorial tree planting ceremony to honour Victor (Vic) Hergott. This event will take at Seneca Park at 2A Seneca Crescent in Brantford. For those of you who would like to attend, please RSVP via email to our OPA office to the attention of Leesa Woodhouse, our office manager. If you cannot attend but would like to share a memory or thought of Vic, please send your message to Leesa at opa@ontarioparksassociation.ca . Your message will be read by Paul Ronan, our Executive Director during the ceremony. Also if you wish to make a donation to Vic's favourite charity, the OPA Foundation, you may do so by sending an email to the office. The family has chosen a beautiful Sugar Maple tree which will be a lasting tribute to his contribution to our Parks and Recreation sector.
