According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) between 1992 and 2002 a total of 31 occupational injury deaths were attributable to mobile brush chippers. 68% of fatalities were the result of being caught or compressed by the chipper, and 29% deaths were the result of being struck by the machine or a machine part. This one-day program will help your employees understand how to work safely with and around a chipper.

This course will cover:

  • Safety regulations and PPE
  • Identify existing and potential hazards
  • Routine checks and maintenance
  • Recognizing and avoiding risks
  • Safe operating techniques
  • Pre-start Inspections
  • Shut down procedures

PPE required to attend this session:

  • CSA Approved Type 1 or Type 2 Class C or E helmet (within 5 years old)
