Seasonal Equipment Training

This one day in-house equipment training will teach attendees safe operating techniques for various types of equipment related to parks maintenance. Through a combination of in class theory and practical on equipment practice, attendees will learn how to safely operate and maintain their equipment. This a great training session for your seasonal students, temps and full time staff!

We can train up to a maximum of 40 staff on up to a maximum of six basic pieces of equipment (Blowers, Line trimmers, Push Mowers) in one day. 

This course will cover: 

  • Impact actions have on the environment
  • Best practices related to equipment operation, maintenance, safety and etiquette.
  • Pre and post use inspection
  • Operation of equipment
  • Transportation of equipment

This course is worth 1 credit towards your Parks Practitioner Designation


Want to host this session for your staff? 

For this session we require a classroom that has a projector and screen available. The classroom needs to be near a yard where your staff can practice using the requested pieces of equipment for the practical portion of this course. You must provide multiple pieces of all the requested equipment that your staff are to be trained on.
